January 1992 –Juli 2002:
  • Representative of the Flemish Organization for Development Cooperation (VVOB) in Suriname. Responsible for: application of project cycle management for the cooperation projects with vocational training institutes and schools, departments of the Faculty of Technology of the AdeKUS, national companies; budgets; management of the local secretariat; HRM; reporting
1986 – 1992:
  • Part time teacher Biology and Organic Chemistry at the local vocational school

Research experiences and services rendered to community

March 2014 – at present:
  • Functioning as coordination team member and researcher for the agro biodiversity project in three pilot traditional communities, Conservation of agro biodiversity and providing communities key crop planting material, sponsored by the GEF - Small Grants Program and the Alcoa Foundation (publication development after signing FPIC contracts and with consent of the villages)
July 2014:
  • Field work and reporting on the two year cassava field experiment, Agronomic traits of four cassava accessions compared to the Colombian variety CN6740-7
2010 – at present:
  • Coaching the managers of the CELOS cassava field gene bank and the gene bank database, respectively, and the researcher implementing the field and lab experiment regarding locally produced cassava root and leaf as components for broiler feed
November 2002 – at present:
  • Disseminating knowledge regarding cultivation techniques to farmers, other agri-business stakeholders and students approaching CELOS for information
September 2019:
  • Support data gap filling National Survey Soil Biodiversity, CBD, Coordination environment.
November 2018 – May 2019:
  • Functioning as organization Focal Point for CELOS (certificate Basic skills) in the IKM team of the LVV – FAO FIRST FNS Project; responsible for quality of online content in the repository and social media platforms
